Salesforce 1% Pledge
Arbola has taken the Salesforce 1% Pledge to devote 1% of our resources each year to philanthropic and entrepreneurial activities. It’s our way to give back to important community organizations and programs wherever Arbola operates in the United States.
10 million kids — 1 million trees
The Arbola Foundation will engage 10 million children to plant one million trees. It’s a simple mission, but a powerful one, and we are well on our way.
Each year, all trees are planted by our grantees on April 22, Earth Day.
When the United States suffered a severe economic downturn in 2008, the CEO of Arbola, Vince Juaristi, provided scholarships to needy kids whose families had fallen on tough times. Since then, Juaristi created the Juaristi Scholarship Program and has self-funded, as of this year, over 200 scholarships since 2008 to help kids go to college.
Edgewood Baptist Church in coordination with Kimbell Elementary school identifies truly underprivileged families in need of help during the Holiday Season. The Church allots $300 per family to help provide a Holiday dinner, toys for the kids, clothes, shoes and/or other items that may be needed. ARBOLA sponsored a family for the 2014 Holiday Season.
Friendship Place is an organization with a mission to end homelessness by providing services to help families rebuild their lives. Friendship Place services about 40 families with 25 girls and 45 boys between the ages of 1 and 16.
N Street Village is a community of empowerment and recovery for homeless and low-income women in Washington, D.C. Offers comprehensive services addressing both emergency and long-term needs, they help women achieve stability and make meaningful gains in their housing, income, employment, mental health, physical health, and addiction recovery.
